    I guess this was from Billy Martin's 1st year managing the Oakland A's (1981?) . . Ahhhh, BILLYBALL :) :) . . . What the A's could've been if he hadn't worn out all those promising young pitchers arms in his first season there :( :(

    The A's have always been one of my favorite teams. My uncle who I was named after had season tickets and got me hooked. Hell Joe Rudi is one of my two favorite players of all time. Thought it was funny Charlie Finley paid the players an extra $150 to grow a mustache. Rudi'd was puny.

    I have always loved the uniforms. They were the first to add a little color to the game without looking like a slow pitch softball team.
