    I'm in. I started my two week 20 carbs per day schtick on the 1st. I'm in my second day and I am hungry. Very hungry. But I'm eating everything in sight. What's the deal and will it stop?

    Are you doing 20 points per day or 20 carbs per day?

    Until your body learns to gain it's nutrition from the stored fat, you will stay hungry. I used to sit down with a block of cheese the size of a car battery and walk away wanting half a cow. I was never satisfied. When I started adding carbs back, it got better. Now, I eat nothing but carbs and am gaining weight faster than the Titanic took on water.

    you need protein and fat. cheese is mostly fat, if you eat like a slab o beef or 3 aigs and a couple of tablespoons of cheese, you'll lose faster. Get those 99 cent packs of peperioni at dollar general and munch all day. One carb day every 4 or 5 helps too. In any event if you feel hungry your blood sugar is low, snak get soy nuts if you have to. Walnuts are good too. make sure you're doing a good B supplement too.

    with atkins, you are supposed to eat whenever you are hungy.

    when I did it, i kept pieces of chees wrapped in a deli meat handy. amazing how easily they got rid of any hunger.

    recent studies have shown that atkins is more effective than the low fat diet even when consuming more calories than the low fat test group

    Day 5. I started at 179. I am already at 171.5. But I can't see much of a difference and my goal is 168.

    I'm learning more and more what to eat, but I miss bread like crazy.
