i'm going to compile a CD of the songs that shaped my life.

im limiting it to 17 songs. they all have some sort of meaning/impact on who i am today.

go ahead and post yours, but edit your original post to add/delete songs on your playlist.

it's tough as hell, but my fist shot at this is:

    1. Beat Box Diversion One -- The Art of Noise
    2. Song for a Future Generation -- The B52s
    3. Another Satellite -- XTC
    4. I Just Can't Get Enough -- Depeche Mode
    5. King of Birds -- REM
    6. Children's Story -- Slick Rick
    7. Bizarre Love Triangle -- New Order
    8. How Soon is Now? -- The Smiths
    9. Paid In Full -- Eric B. and Rakim
    10. Always Saturday -- Guadalcanal Diary
    11. This Corrosion -- The Sisters of Mercy
    12. Bedbugs and Ballyhoo -- Echo and the Bunnymen
    13. Our House -- Madness
    15. Funkytown -- Lipps, Inc.
    16. Mars Needs Women -- MARRS
    17. Straight Outta Compton -- NWA

holy crap. this is going to be hard. i need to go home and check my CDs.

THIS PLAYLIST IS MOST DEFINATELY NOT COMPLETE!

I don't think I could limit myself to 17 songs. I'll have to try and see how it goes...... but a little bit later.

I think I'm on CD #22. No way I fix seventeen songs.

Meanwhile, seeing High Fidelity and noting Cusack's character filing his record collection autobiographically blew my mind.
