    Legitimately top 5. For some reason. Ohio State (and Oklahoma for that matter) have problems in bowl games. Maybe it's the long layoff or maybe it's something else, but the Buckeyes destroyed people during the regular season just as they did in '06. From a talent standpoint, they were at least equal to LSU in that game, they just screwed themselves with penalties and other mistakes.

    It would have been nice to have seen OSU win a formal title game before going to #1. Still doesn't keep them from being a Top 5.

    I think it would be wise for Ohio State to not complain about where they are ranked. They have had an opportunity to win the national championship (such as it is) the last two years and have looked ridiculous both times. I really think they are perhaps top 10 at best and they didn't even play the best team in the country when they played LSU.
