Florida State plays its fifth Atlantic Coast Conference road game of the season as it travels to Charlottesville to play its first of two games against Virginia Wednesday at 7:30 at University Hall. The Seminoles and Cavaliers will meet for the second time during the season in the final regular season game for both teams in Tallahassee (March 6, 2 p.m.). The Seminoles have split their last two ACC road games with a victory at NC State (Jan. 26, 70-64) and a last-second loss at Georgia Tech (Feb. 2, 64-61). Florida State has been successful in true road games this season with victories at Minnesota (Nov. 30, 70-69), at Ole Miss (Dec. 4, 69-64) and at NC State. Florida State is the only team in the nation to win on a Big Ten court (Minnesota), an SEC court (Ole Miss) and an ACC court (NC State). A fourth road win for the Seminoles would be the most since the 1997-98 team earned a 6-6 road record (including a 3-5 ACC record and a win at Virginia) on their way to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Seminoles' game against Virginia is their seventh of eight consecutive games against teams who either ranked among the nation's top 25 or have been ranked among the nation's top 25 during the 2004-05 season. Virginia was ranked as high as No. 19 in the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls during the week of Dec. 6. Following Wednesday's game at Virginia, the Seminoles will play at No. 5/5 Wake Forest before traveling to Amherst, Mass., to face Massachusetts (Feb. 15, 7 p.m.) in their final non-conference regular season game. Florida State's next home game comes as it plays host to Georgia Tech (Feb. 20, 1:30 p.m.).
