Official QB Controversy Thread

Discussion in 'Carolina Panthers' started by Y2Buddy, Oct 20, 2002.

  1. My bad guys. I read the stats wrong. I thought that Fasani's numbers were 8/10. 6/18 isnt too good, especially when you add in the INT.

You could be right, but again... its all a matter of who you would rather see us suck with.

Me, I tend to take the more optimistic approach. I saw something good in Winky in that he was not afraid to run for a first down and that he did not turn the ball over.

I saw something good in Fasani in that he is obviously athletically gifted compared to Winky or Peete. I saw him have a nice final drive with ability to stop the clock.

So in the end, neither QB may appear to be starter material. IMO, I saw a little something positive in each player.

Of course, Weinke was 3/8 and got sacked 4 times.

Fasani is more fun to watch lose than Weinke.

Mag - you say Fasani won't succeed in the current situation, but do you think Weinke will?

I think it's trouble time on Panthers Offense.

And - WTF happened to our Defense? As soon as we were down 10-0, I knew it was hopeless. Our draw plays for -3 yards ain't gonna rally us from 10 points back, and not being able to get over a 10 point deficit is fucking awful.

I think the players knew it, and laid down to take there medicine.

    This team laid down. Shameful.

    I'm for firing Henning.

Looked to me like we just got shut down. Hot recievers were covered, and we couldn't handle the blitz.

We knew we weren't that talented. Now we are hurt, and untalented.

Might as well go with Fasani. He can "lose fun." Hopefully we can be more respectable after the bye, and get our guys healthy.

So Weinke will do fine against Tampa X2, Saints X2, and Atlanta again?

We've been shut down all year on Offense. Today it was just worse.

I don't think Fasani will win games for us this year, but I don't think Weinke will, either. I think the Weinke experiment in Carolina is the fuck over. Seeing him under center brings back bad memories.

    Goodbye, Chris.

Let's see what Randy can do, and lose bad enough to draft Leftwich if need be.

Yes, I've given up on the season. I fear Cincinatti will steal Leftwich from us, though.

Oh no. I'm fairly certain that Peete will come back and we will win just enough to lose out on all the top QBs in the draft.

Wanted to clean up my thoughts, so they are not misinterpreted.

I dunno meat. This is just bad. We were just awful today, and I'm afraid Tampa is going to really ream us.

I don't think Peete can win games for us, either.

But we won't get Leftwich. Cincinatti will.

Poor Byron. If I were a player, I'd tell Cincinatti not to draft me, b/c I would not play for you, period.

Today was awful. What does Fox do to help that?

The Bucs Offense is fucking awful, too. That may help us.
