..........and as long as Henning is calling the plays, it's a mute point. But have at it anyway.

We better sign another QB so atleast we have a body to throw to the wolves.

Let's see, I'll start. I think it should be Dee Brown because he was McNabbs back-up in college and atleast it's nobody we've seen.

Just the situation I had hoped for. 1 healthy rookie QB heading into the leagues #1 defense, not to mention the most experienced. You think the Atlanta game was ugly?

Let's sign tony Banks and start him against TB, he's expendable!

I don't think Hennings is so much the problem as our execution is. The pass blocking has been horrific today, and the run blocking isn't much better. Smith wasn't hitting holes like he has in past weeks and the younger Smith can't catch the damn ball!
The QB play has been shabby at best. Fasani at least got in there and gave a good effort, like to see him stay in the pocket...oh, what pocket?

    To stick to the topic....

Weinke didn't get it done. I say we're sone with him in Carolina.

Play Fasani against TB? I dunno. But play Peete when he's healthy, and as soon as playoffs are MATHEMATICALLY impossible (b/c we ain't going anyway, but gotta have hope) let Fasani cut his teeth just to *diversion - WTF did we run a draw play down by 30 2nd and 6?* see if we need to draft a rookie or if Randy is our guy.

In short, might as well see what we have in Fasani to prepare for next year.

    Fasani simply isn't ready.

But if Weinke's going to be a coach's decision to sit with an "injury" just like Peete, then we'll suck with Fasani and be completely unable to allow him to come out. That should help his growth and development. Or something.

No really, I'm thinking Dee just might have a pretty good arm. I'd like to see some film on him the deep 5 yard out.

As I mentioned, It appeared early that Fasani was not quit ready today. He warmed up and did Ok... I guess what it all boils down to is who would you rather see us suck with? Hell, at this point in the season, just seeing him muster up that spike to stop the clock was a great Panther QB move... in comparison.

I can't see any positive out of his performance today. He ran more than he completed and he's not ready. If he's ever going to be something, it won't be because he played against a good defense and got his bell rung while we try Dee Brown at left guard.

  9. I think that we need to sign someone for next week. Anyone have a list of the possible free agent signings?

Fasani's yardage numbers were alright, he had quite a few completions but he didnt create points and thats the main thing. Bring someone in over the week and see how he and Fasani plays. Anyone know Weinke's status?
