    What about D.J. Augustin?

    Augustin might be Brown's guy
Totally a hunch here, but if I were the Charlotte Bobcats picking ninth, knowing Larry Brown will be coaching this team, I’d take a long look at Texas point guard D.J. Augustin.

He strikes me as a Brown point guard – a cerebral, pass-first playmaker who will do as he’s told. And the No.. 1 priority for any Brown point guard is doing precisely what the coach instructs.

Bobcats general manager Rod Higgins was more forthcoming than in the past, in acknowledging this team’s needs – another point guard to complement Raymond Felton and another big man (particularly if you accept that Emeka Okafor is miscast, guarding jump-shooters as a power forward.)

Augustin isn’t a great athlete, and at 5-foot-11 he’s smaller than you might like, but the guy is about as pure a playmaker as you can find in this draft.

One other thing about Higgins’ comments Tuesday; if you see them drafting a shooting guard or small forward next month, figure there’s a trade in the works, because this team is loaded with wings.

One rumor floating around is Wallace, the pick, and filler for Carmelo, Camby, (pick?) and salary filler.

Before you po poo it, remember that Carmelo is Team Jordan's (Nike) main spokesperson. You would think that Jordan would explore the possibility of going after a guy like Anthony, if the Nuggets are shopping...

Couple that with the evidence that Denver is shopping Anthony by the rumors that surfaced this morning about New Jersey sending Jefferson, their 1, and junk for Melo and Marcus Camby..

I'd take a lineup of Felton, Richardson, Anthony, Camby and Okafor any day...heheh maybe they can pick up Ty Lawson to back up felton with Denver's 20th pick (kidding)

Like I said.. the Bobbers suck at getting lucky in the lottery. They should trade this pick since Brown isn't going to play a fuckin' rookie amyway.

I'd hate to see DJ Augustin be the pick, talk about throwing it away.

    We should get Love.

I'd do that Carmelo trade too.

This year, if the Bobcats had one one or two more games (depending on tie breakers) they would have been in Chicago's spot and gotten the #1 pick.

Seriously, our luck is so bad it hurts.

It probably crossed his mind for a second. Then he remembered he's getting paid.

I think that Beasley has huge bust potential. It has nothing to do with his talent level though.
