610 is reporting this morning that BC is gonna be in the ACC as the 12th team. What happened to Notre Dame? are they 13th? or was the ND article complete hogwash?

I want to see Notre Dame's TV ratings with NBC. Compare them with CBS and ABC, then we'll have a better idea if NBC will re-up with them.

I would be ashamed if I was in the ACC and Notre DAme played a "partial football schedule".

That story was either fabricated or they ran with a story from a shit source thinking they were gonna scoop everyone else, for once

In the end, they have again embarrassed themselves and the City of Charlotte.

well if ND comes on board, the big O was all over it, but it doesn't sound like it after yesterday. I guess my point is that it was speculation, and we have been told by the Observer that it is pointless to speculate on the Niners with no facts, therefor very few articles. btw, there is more ACC speculation today in the O.

SportsCenter even acknoweldged their report from the Charlotte Observer.

IF NOtre DAme ever joins a conference, it will be the Big 10+1.

I think the Observer was reporting on a longshot dream from Anne Fox (NCSU Chancellor) . . . Why would a team in the midwest join a primarily Southern conference   ? ? ? The Irish fan base is based in strong Catholic areas (mostly the Northeast & the Midwest) . . .
They will join the BIG TEN or the BIG EAST sooner vs. later once they realize NBC isn't going to cough up the big cash to air all their home games again . . . If the Irish was smart, they would just go ahead and join the BIG EAST; They would have an easier road to get a BCS bid vs. joining the BIG TEN (though a trip to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena sounds tempting also :) . . )

I guess the Irish have to decide whether they want to be rich (big ol' payday to share with no one), or competitive, because football independence is pulling them the way of Army/Navy faster than gravity is pulling Wile E. Coyote towards the ground :p
