Observations from the game

I went to the game and stayed the entire game. I would to tell you I could find anything good about this team but there was absolutly nothing to cheer about. I mean absolutely nothing good AT ALL. As much as it pains me to say I am embarrassed to say I am a Panther fan today. Can anyone remember when we were 3-0? I can't. The reason why the Falcons beat up was simple. They owned the line of scrimmage. They bullied both sides of the ball. The offensive line were nothing more than a swing gate. 4 men lines ran through our fron 5 with regularity. How many balls were completed to wide receivers? I saw MAYBE 2. Changes are in order. Dan Henning has to go. You fit the players you have into then scheme you want to run. We have a decent tight end yet he hasn't been made a part of the offence. As much as I would like to defend the offence it's painfully clear that Chris Weinke has to go and the sooner the better. At this point I would just like to see him cut. He was brought in knowing the team had no chance to win and he threw the ball right into Falcon jerseys. No tips, no wrong routes, RIGHT into the Falcons chest. Send him packing, NOW. Peete god bless him tries but his better days are passed and he is not making good desicions anymore. I would bench him and put Fasani in for the rest of the season and see what he can do. As far as next years draft I have said it before, TRADE down and get more picks. This team is at least 6-10 players away from sniffing the playoffs. We will not get the number one and a shot at Leifwich and no one else there when we draft will make that much difference next year so trade down once if not twice and get additional picks. We seem to have a good group of talent evaluators now maybe they can pull out a few winners with a more bodies to choose from. This team is this close to shutting down for the year. They gave up today, plain and simple. Fans got ugly and booed this team unmersifally. (sp) There was almost a confrontation as the players left the field as fans let their displeasure be known. I am one pissed Panther fan

 

Where's Bill Polian when you need him? Jerry needs to stop the nepotism because it's ruining this franchise.

 

I sat through the whole thing too. My ride started calling me at half time. They went back to the van and drank all the vodka and crown. I think I passed out in the second half. When I woke up I had 4 messages and the stands were empty. There was still 4 minutes left.

 

Well, that makes at least two of us Panther fans that stayed until the miserable end. Most of the people who remained were Falcon fans.

 

I was sitting on top of the tunnel. I tossed them my Panthers sweat shirt. Told them to keep the damn thing.
