No, Silly .....The Gilligan's Island episode where they make it off the island and the Brady Bunch is on the Love Boat with Blair from Facts of Life.

I liked the future thing.

It was really overdone in alot of ways I thought. The Nate ghost with Brenda was a bit much, as were the David anxiety dreams.

What I liked best was the way they showed Ruth and others watching the top network shows prior to Six Feet Under, and how fucking stupid, trivial, and antiquated they seem. It was a passive aggressive way of tooting their own horn, but I liked it.

There's some other shows doing that now - I'd say Arrested Development has to be one. I stick by my policy of not watching TV shows that have a laugh track.

 

As toxic as Nate may have been to his family, he also was a strong influence to claire in her decision to move to NY to pursue her dream, regardless of the no job/no home situation. I don't really see how that is toxic... especially considering how comfortable she could have been staying in LA and hanging out with Ted.

So, what's with this toxic nate theory...
