So should I stay up late tomorrow night and get my Halo 2 or wait until Tuesday night? How many folks you think will buy it between midnight Monday and Tuesday around 6:30 when I can get there (Media Play I put down a deposit)

I went to gamestop Saturday and paid in full. They said if you pay in full you go to the front of the line. There are about 10 of us taking off tomorrow. I'm leaving here at 2:00, going to get beer, frozen pizzas and maybe some more beer, take a nap and then go stand in line at 11:00. God my life is miserable.

I drug the first one out this weekend and finished the campaign. It's not a bad game, but I still do not see the appeal. The single player is above average. The multiplayer is a joke compared to PC multiplayer games.

I'm not trying to be mean about it, I just don't get it.

The sticky plasma grenadse are cool though. Until they run at you.

And that last level with the dune buggy... I'd rather have a root canal, thanks.

You're right about the multiplayer. Not enough people and the games aren't quite as good but I've gotten used to the controls and the plug and play aspect of XBL is awesome. Also, being able to talk to your team members is a huge plus.

the only multiplayer i play is co-operative -- which rocks. as for MP deathmatch or CTF, it's pretty average.

I prefer the multiplayer DM or CTF or whatever PC games. I dont get really technical with it. I just enjoy the release. I really enjoy it after a good workout at the gym. It's kinda similarly primal.

As for Halo - XBL makes a lot of games great. Talking to teammates in war sims or sports games is seriously fun. The only thing that rivals it is a stand alone teamspeak server for a team playing Counter Strike or Battlefield or the like. I've tried that, but I hate all the goofy equipment. XBL is much more plug & play.

People who love playing games on a computer wont ever be able to appreciate Halo multiplayer because they like playing on their computer, with their mouse and keyboard.

There is not a better console FPS, that's why people are still playing Halo today. I can get together with my friends and play Halo, I don't like doing that with computer games. Quite frankly, I hate playing computer games. Consoles are way more fun to play games with my friends. Computers are just so impersonal, I'd rather get together with my friends.

I hate FPS, but I really liked Halo, especially DM. It is user friendly and fun. Plus, the story is supposed to be outstanding on this game.

Finished the campaign mode in Halo 2. After a while, it just feels like you're doing the same shit over and over again. And the ending in H2 fucking blows. They're setting it up for Halo 3, so you get that to be continued horseshit.
Biggest differences I saw was playing as the Covenant guy, which is pretty much like playing as the master chief only different people shooting at you. Also had more vehicle levels which I liked.

Not true. Most computer game fans such as myself prefer those games because they are generally superior to console games, especially with regard to graphics. IMO, it doesn't get any better than Doom 3, and whoever said that Id had one hell of a job porting that to Xbox is right on the money. I expect Half Life 2 to be right up there with Doom 3 as well. Multiplayer is generally better; of course I don't find plugging in a headset into the front of my computer and starting Roger Wilco that brain challenging.

    This I will agree with.
