    He can't because he is wrong. If Paulus would have signed during the early signing period, he would have had to sit for 1 year (don't know where he got two). Because he didn't he can sign either a football or a basketball scholly and play immediately. The rule is only there to keep football schools from hiding scholarships on the basketball team.

    football teams hiding scholarships on the basketball team?

    We do it the other way in the ACC - UNC had Curry and Peppers both on football scholarships which helped the basketball team.

    I don't understand why basketball players can sign LOI in November but they make football players wait until February.

    I wonder what a kid like Sexton does when he enrolls in school before he can even sign a LOI.

    According to this, Paulus will sign a LOI today. Doesn't say with Duke but he cannot sign a football LOI yet so it has to be a basketball LOI and it would have had to been already signed by the deadline.

    Either the site is wrong about the LOI or IMO he signed with Duke. :xyzthumbs
