    I have no doubts that, all things being somewhat equal, Davis would chose Bama over UNC. But like I said - everyone thought that Shula's job was safe until last weekend, so that doesn't make any sense to me, unless Davis was determined to see how all the jobs shook out and try to pick the best one. In which case, UNC would have moved on long before Davis was ready to make a decision anyway.

    And that's all I was talking about. It's not going to come down to UNC v. Bama though because UNC is going force Davis to make a decision soon.

    They have been saying he was on the hot sear for awhile. I thought it was all BS. But I believe it now. Butch was rumored to want UNC...but AFTER he was sure that Alabama wasn't happening.

    Then UNC gives him a big offer and he wants to think about it for a couple of weeks. This has "Let me see if something better opens up" written all over it.

    Looks like that "something better" is opening up.

    From what I hear Davis was close with UNC, when suddenly he got some calls, (Supposedly from Bama Boosters) and now he's deciding between the two. Problem is UNC wants an answer and there's not a 100% guarantee the Bama job will open up.
