This is why games are played on the court and not on paper/computers. I think they'll improve and be better than what they are now, at the end of the season.

I figured them for 7-8 losses before the season started. 10-12 wouldn't surprise me either. Still not sure how the teams in the ACC really stack up against each other. A real crapshoot year this year.

Some people are comparing this team to the 05-06 team that lost to George Mason in the 2nd round of the playoffs (23-8). I think this team is going to lose more than 8 games. I'm thinking they'll finish 10-6 or 11-5 in the ACC regular-season, so that means about a 22-9, or 21-10 record. If the Heels lose more than that, then Roy couldn't do anything with them. The ACC looks weak to me after Duke. No telling who finishes 2nd, but UNC has the talent to take 2nd. The conference may not end up with the 6 bids everybody is predicting either. 5 looks about right if you ask me. Time will tell.

The Pomeroy ratings have Duke, FSU, Va. Tech, Wake, Clemson, & Miami all finishing with a better conference record than the Heels. That's not going to happen! UNC won't drop further than 3 or 4 in the conference, & may still take 2nd.

They could really bomb in the ACC this year. The Sr/Jr classes suck plain and simple. So really how well they do will depend on how the freshmen/Soph classes progress through the season and hopefully one or two of them turn into team leaders.

They will do better and get better. I can see them making the Sweet 16 and that's about it. I don't think the ACC gets a team to the Final 4.
