    yeah, she's something else.

If you like her, give Eva Cassidy a try.

    Re: Re: yup, pantherpaul

I believe she's a daughter of Ravi Shankar? In that case she's half Indian.

My brother got me her DVD to her concert in New Orleans.

I've been listening to her for over a year in a half and she's just so awesome.

A quote from one of her sites...

"There are certain singers whom we feel that we know, from the very first time we hear them. As the intimacy of their delivery and the subtle shading of their interpretation draw us in, a whole personality seems to take shape in our imagination."

    This is worth the bump...

If you don't have her CD, buy it! It's worth every single cent!

Norah is incredible, is she not?! First heard the "Come Away With Me" CD in the store where I work, & bought it immediately, before she was well-known; and it's doubled in price since then!

Her latest with The Peter Malick Group in New York kicks ass, too. She has a wonderful, sultry, sexy voice & an undefinable style of her own. You can't really classify her. She can sing anything.

    Ain't gonna ask you
If you wanted to stay with me tonight
    that's allright
but I ain't gonna ask you

    it's late and you're tired
    and it's so cold outside
    so I don't mind
but I ain't gonna ask you

    It could be nice
    It could be wize
if we shared a few hours together
and if you don't love me
but don't know if that's clear
    don't you fear
'cause I ain't gonna ask you
