    I know this may sound crazy, but we need experience in the system, so how about Basanez? Is he even available? He'd be the most familiar with the system at this point.

    "According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Delhomme will have “Tommy John” surgery next week to reconstruct damaged ligaments in his throwing elbow. While that has meant year-plus rehabs for some baseball players, the source said this was expected to be a seven- to nine-month recovery period, with the hope that he's ready for training camp next summer."
