    There was only three of them so it's not hard to figure who's who.
    Mitch Mitchell was the drummer. Couple of unhip british dudes with afros. Redding was a guitarist, actually...he played bass for Jimi but was only decent. Jimi supposedly liked him because he played a picked bass style.

    Didn't realize he was that old? Jimi has been dead for more than 30 years.

    come on math most of the rockers from that era are in the late 50's early 60's. shit elvis would be close to 70 now

    Hendrix wasn't nothing to my age group. I believe he got a following years later like that Joplin girl did. Bout the only thing people relate Hendrix to is Woodstock, afro, and Star Spangled Banner.

    And y'all get off my back about his age. Hell it was just a couple of years ago that I graduated from college.

    I was in San Francisco pre-Woodstock; he was very much talked about there, and Joplin was big time; don't know 'bout the rest of country.
