    i agree math but there is no money in that. i miss the days of, Concord Motor Speedway, The Capitol Center, Candlestick Park ect.....God forbid if Yankee Stadium becomes something other than Yankee Stadium.

    I believe PM is changing its name to Altria. Wouldn't be terrible.
    But to think the name will be cool would be stupid. It will be something no one likes. :mad:

    Wonder what the going price is? I know Viagra spends more than 7 million a year on the Mark Martin car - I dunno, but I see Rednecks relying more on other over the counter remedies. ;)

    It won't be a tobacco Co. I think the league has a rule against tobacco sponsorship, not sure, but I recall reading something about it a few years ago when Coors Field opened. There was a stink about a Beer Co. having naming rights and tobacco not being allowed in any pro sports...as always, I could be wrong.

    Harold Johnson said Krispey Kreme should buy the rights so we could name Erriccson the "Big Doughnut." I'm just reporting.


    here are my thoughts- CLT does have 8 fortune 500 companies:

    1. BOFA
    2. WACHOVIA
    3. BF Goodrich- aerospace parts
    4. Nucor- steel
    5. Sonic- auto
    6. Family Dollar
    7. SPX
    8. Duke Energy

    thats potentially 8 takers. I like "Nucor Field" or probaby "BFG (big ups to 4th grade english!!) Stadium."

    Other companies that have a big presence here include merrill lynch, coca cola, pepsi, lance, etc...

    On a serious note, your thoughts are good. As far as legit sponsors. The only problem with banks is they change names every other year... ;)

    I don't think Duke would spend that kind of money although I like the idea of the Duke "Power" Field.

    Since we do camp about 20 minutes from the BMW plant, maybe its time for the BMW folks to step up to the plate....

    Since we do PSLs and have a lot of Yuppies buy tickets to the games, maybe they would be cool... :cool:

    Redneck Ravine, huh? I remember whooping up on some puppy dogs in redneck ravine a couple times.
