NO KILLER INSTINCT!!!

This team is now 20 minutes away from being 7-1. The first three it was the "Prevent-us from winning" defense, this one was purely offensive play calling.
I don't wanna hear "but Fasani", that's no excuse to just hand the ball back to the opposition with time on the clock. Sure Fasani didn't play particularly well, but you gotta try. All we were doing was trying to prevent a situation where Fasani would be in a "win it or lose it" mode.
1st and 10...run for 2.
2nd and 8...run for -3.
3rd and 11...inc.
4th and 11... punt it back to the Bucs.
Then we force a three and out and do the same damn thing?!
In a 9-6 game, you don't want to just hang it on your D, for fuck sake put some faith in the kid and make him seal the victory!
I could see that kind of scenario on the last drive if it was still 9-6, but with more than 3 minutes...make the effort to win rather than playing to NOT lose.
Playing NOT to lose has lost 4-5 games now, when are they going to figure it out!

At some point I have to start questioning Fox and HIS decision making as well. He has the authority to step in and say "Go for the fucking throat Dan!"

I do like our change in defensive playcalling late in the game though! They kept the same game plan for a full 60. If not for the muff, it would be a different story.

 

yuppp. defense fuckin brought it. i got 4 beers spilled on me on the minter hit, and the cousin hit was damn vicious. we brought the wood- we brought the passion- we brought IT. PERIOD. and we lost cause of a nelly-look-alikes infatuation to show up the bucs for callin him "CHARLES smith." i think that was a good call by the bucs- ray CHARLES smith. fucking blind bat.

i loved the defensive game plan- the passes in the flat hurt us big time, as did the quick slant (morgan NEEDS to get healthy).. this one hurts- even more than the dallas one.
