I like Coop and all, but don't y'all think it was pretty stupid of him to try to get that punt returner to touch the ball?

 

I must have missed that play...or is that the "unnatural" call?

 

No, it was on punt coverage. I thought it was pretty funny. The ball was rolling down with about 5 Panthers around the ball to down it. Desmond Howard was standing too close for comfort really and jumping like he was going to grab it (stupid for a veteren really) and just as I said "Grab his leg!" Coop reached over and grabbed his leg and pushed him into the ball and the Panthers recovered. It was cool, no penalty, just meant he didn't really touch it.


The "unnatrual" call was when the Lions DL made a shift before the snap on a punt, confusing the OL and made them move.

 

Looks like a "used to be Rookie" got to a veteren player!! Sounds like a move Coop would do though...gotta love him!

 

I thought it was funny... classic move... didn't hurt him... it wasn't a penalty... why not try?? LOL

 

Exactly - its good to see Panther players have "fun".
