    braves woes give new life to philly, washington. as of right now the phillies are 3 games out while atlanta is on the verge of being swept by the padres.

    braves win their second straight as tim hudson goes 9 and gets the win vs. chicago. zombrano leaves tied at 2 after 8 and kerry woods gives up a 2 run shot to chipper (his second 2 run shot of the game) in the top of the 9th. braves win 4-2.

    the braves magic number remains at 6 after tonight. the phillies get a grand slam in the top of the 10th to win it. our pen lets another one get away.

    the braves lose again to the phillies. this time tim hudson gives up 4 in the ninth and the braves cant get anything across the plate the entire game losing 4-0. magic number remains at 6 after losing 2 of 3 to the phillies.
