hardly. Cubs record against NL West teams: 18-16, i wouldn't call that dominating. They also had two sweeps in series against NL West teams (SD and COL). The diamondbacks (NL West Leader) have a .567 winning % against central teams (got swept once, cubs didnt get swept by an nl west team.), while the Cubs have a .529 winning % over NL West Teams. Yes, you can make the argument that the west is better, but no, not even close to dominating.

cliff floyd hits a 2 run homer in the 3rd to put the cubs up 2-1. derosa follows with a shot of his own, back to back. cubs lead 3-1.

down 6-4 in the bottom of the ninth, theriot leads off with a walk, lee gets an oppo base hit to right, puting runners on 1st and 2nd, no outs. Aramis Ramirez then comes up with a triple to right center on a 1-2 count and ties the game. Floyd is then walked to put runners on 1st and third, with the 4 for 4 derosa coming to the plate. Derosa slaps one past the pitcher and Aramis scores from 3rd. HOW BOUT THEM CUBBIES!!!!

I'm not celebrating because they were pushed yet another game back, but simply because they lost. If they lost 162, I'd celebrate every one of them. Cardinals take it in the pooholes.

well, we gotta get it done tonight. Rich Hill will be taking the mound against shearn. Marmol looked stellar again last night, I can't say enough about that kid. He is the next Mariano Rivera in my mind. The cubs are thinking of moving Dempster into the rotation and making marmol the closer, not a bad idea.
