Akron gets the come from behind win going 89 yds. with no time outs and getting a 36 yd. touchdown bomb with less than 15 seconds left. I dont know if any of you watched this game but it was awesome. MAC football is pretty good imo.

The MAC hit the recruiting jackpot when they signed the deal with the Big Ten way back when. Having a Big Ten team on your schedule gaurantees some TV time which has helped the MAC teams recruit better quality athletes.
The first few years it wasn't even funny, the Big Ten slaughtered the MAC, but those games have become increasingly competitive since.

If you missed it Miami was on TV(I think at least twice may three times) on ESPN 2 mid week. And playing other MAC schools. I was shocked.

The MAC gets lots of ESPN time, because they schedule lots of weekday games. I don't generally get to see them because of work...which sucks. There have been a number of kids from Cedar Rapids sign with MAC schools, so I try to watch when I can.
Ball State has a QB named Phil Suess, who should be the stater next year. Watched him a little when he was in HS.

A kid (Jacob Wertz) that used to play for me when I coached midget league was a red shirt freshman at NIU this year. He got full ride as a DT. He moved to Chicago after his soph. year here in mooresville and played for some big ass high school up there and really tore it up. His little brother is kicking ass too.

speaking of Ball State, I lift with a dude who's little brother started at DT (last name Belcher) for them this season. Their non-conference schedule was as brutal as they come with the likes of Auburn, Iowa and others. I would see him at the gym and he would tell me about how bad they got their ass kicked but it was great experience for their upcomming MAC schedule.
