    The X360 controller looks incredible.

I'd be shocked if Sony doesn't redesign that PS3 controller, it looks horrible. And for the record, I'm sick of the DS2. Half the fun of a new system is a new controller, and the DS1 wasn't that good in the first place.

Hmm. Must be an individual thing. Like a lot of guys I cut my teeth on the classic NES controller, then graduated to the Super NES. The PSOne and Dual Shock controllers were natural evolutions of that basic design, and over time it's become what I'm used to. Short of gun games and kooky Dance Dance Revolution shit, you can play damn near any type of game on it.

I say this because you being most comfortable with a keyboard and mouse is surprising to me... probably because I never owned a computer until a few years ago. I always have hell learning the hotkeys on PC games. I'm growing to like PC gaming the best, but my roots in consoles are still pretty strong.

FYI - The GIF at the bottom of DJ Tet's original post alone makes this thread worthwhile. :xyzthumbs

Why don't they just take the best controllers around now (i think the ps2) and add to them rather than make completely new ones. Console video game controllers have been around long enough for completely new designs to be much more rare than they are now.

because they want to make it look new. It could very well come out looking like the dual shock controller now, but it's just a prototype they put out for a show. MS changed the xbox controller after everyone bitched about how huge it was.

Not before launch they didn't. Type S wasn't available for several months.

I would expect the Nintendo controller to look almost exactly like what was shown. On the other hand, I would be SHOCKED if the PS3 launched with the batarang controller.

Im actually a fan/owner of the larger Logitech controllers rather than the stock Xbox controllers.
