    The View from Section 231

Bought 2 tixs via the team's athletic site this afternoon (Charlotte49ers.com) . . . Two tixs in Section 231 for $16 each, which wasn't that bad . . . Though when me and my friend got there, we realized that quite a few Cincinnati fans were there as well!!!!! It was cool talking smack with them thru the first period, though they got kinda quiet in the 2nd half . . I wonder why  ? Oh, that's right we won :D :D !!!!!!!!!!!!! The guys we were trading smack with told us quite a few of them (at least a dozen of them) said they took a 10 hour bus ride to go to the game, which I thought was cool (I assumed that they rented a bus) . . . I wonder how many of our fans would be willing to do that on a weekend (I'm sure most of our 'fans' would rather go see their buddies up in Raleigh or Chapel Hill vs. supporting their team   . . )

BTW, is there anyway the school could put a JUMBOTRON in the scoreboard vs. having the regular dot matrix screen  ? I mean, the scoreboard at HALTON is the same one used at CRICKET ARENA; I'm sure it would only cost a little bit more to have one installed . . . It would be better just to be able to see highlights & the graphics would look better IMHO :) . . .

does a sub 500 record in the SEC get you into the NCAA's?

This I don't get. Cincy is not that good this year nor are they ranked. Myself and others in the alumni section realized how stupid this looks. Rush the court if we beat a top 25 team. We look like such amateurs. I also noticed it was a small crowd that rushed the court. When we beat big teams we should act like we've done it before.

Other than that it was a good win. I just wish we could get that crowd every game instead of just Cincy. We should have sold out Louisville and Marquette.

The students were still out for the Louisville game Ice man, but still not an excuse for a small crowd. Rushing the court was lame, only a victory against a top 10 team or a last second shot should call for that kind of reaction. Sadly, while I admit they're students and should have fun, they've seen too much SportsCenter and many won't be seen from again until the Bearcats' next visit to Charlotte, which might now be for several years with realignment.
