    UNCG might be one of the worst basketball teams I've ever seen. Charlotte was horrible to start the year, but I still think we could handle ECU. If we can't, we should quit basketball.

    Oh...I know they're bad.

    But this aint the same shitty ECU team (as the past 50 years, minus one decent year in 93)

    We would have lost to UNCW and Winthrop (and probably VCU) even last year.

    Our coach (McCarthy) has a lot to do with it. He has taken a couple of teams to the Sweet Sixteen in the past (VCU and one the of the TN midmajors)

    We only have 2 seniors (Brock Young leads the nation in assists).

    Here's a little fact:

    ECU's last 20 win season was in the 1950's (53, I believe)

    UNC Greensboro comes to Dayton Saturday. I plan on being there - glad to here they suck.

    not gonna hear me defend our program, you should know that.

    But, we are still better than ECU, if only barely.

    Yeah....it was a rough one. Still optimistic, though. Any other ECU team would have folded big time after the way the 2nd half started. They fought back and got back into the game until the refs took out everyone on our team. (how does one of our guys get one of his teeth knocked out by the elbow of a state player and there's no foul?)

    Kinda hard to win when your only two big guys are fouled out with 10:00 to go. Another with 7:00 left and 2 more in foul trouble.

    Not saying we didnt commit those fouls...just find it hard to believe that no one in red was even close to fouling out.

    NCSU was on fire, though...especially Costner. He couldnt miss early. As a matter of fact...I think he just hit another 3.

    Our team has pretty much lived and died by the three ball...and it wasnt hitting for us last night.

    I think they might have pumped NOS into the locker room because we came out like shit. I think it was a 16-2 or 18-2 run for NCSU to start the 2nd half.

    That game either says something good about this year's ECU team or bad about the current state of the NCSU basketball program.
