343 is what I was looking for. Out of 343 only 64 make the tourney..........so wouldn't it make sense to say that any team you beat that makes the tourney should be considered a good win? Especially if you didn't make the tourney? You just beat a team that is one of the top 64 in the country and you aren't - that should be considered a good win no matter who you are.

The field is not made up of the top 64. A team with a losing record can win their conference tourney and still get in.

Ehh. No. There are 34 at large bids, those would be obvious good wins. Except for Dayton and X, apparently they couldn't be considered a good win b/c they wouldn't do anything in the BE or ACC, or even several other conferences. Eventhough, that is totally opinionated and can't be based in fact. You know, like what I provided beforehand and was just ignored.

OK - I know what you are saying. But right now, for example, Temple is the best team in the A10 and they deserve to be at the NCAA. If you don't feel they should be then doesn't that take us back into the argument about playoffs in football. A wildcard professional team can win the superbowl. Doesn't make them the best..........just lucky to win the last 3.

Anyway, back on topic, SF can throw around RPI number and SOS's all he wants but the bottom line is beating Xavier at home is not a great win. It is simply the best win Charlotte had all year, which is not saying much. X is a decent team in a shitty conference and still managed to lose 5 conference games including their first game of the A-10 tournament to RI. They wouldn't have qualified for an at-large bid in 4 or 5 other conferences.

You mean, I throw around factual information that the NCAA uses to pick tourney teams. I don't see one fact in your bloated comment. Oh BTW, 4 at large bids were only given to non-BCS teams, guess who? Dayton and Xavier were 2 of the 4. Keep trying, your sinking much faster now.

Just my .02, but Xavier and Dayton getting in is pretty compelling...

I think we all knew they were both getting in. It doesn't change the fact that neither one is any good. They both lost to UNCC. X should win one game because of their seed and draw but they should be all done after that. Dayton will be lucky to win one game. Nice conference. Couple powerhouses there.

How is it compelling... X is a 4 SEED?!?!? That's the same seed as Clemson and Wake.... wow.

I've even said Dayton wasn't as good a win, but still a good win. If you beat a team that received an at large bid to the NCAA it is a good win. I'm not even saying a great win, but a GOOD win. People can't even see that on here, but I guess ignorance is bliss sometimes.

So if you get in to the tourney as one of the 34 at large teams, you are not a good team?

Again, I'm not saying they were great wins, just good wins. You can't even bring yourself to that. I promise, I will not make fun of you for admitting that I am right that they are a good win. It will end and you can walk away as will I.
