Nike Hoop Summit Game USA vs. World

The ACC definately has some talent coming in next year.

UNC - Ellington scored 31 points and was MVP of the game. Very smooth shooter and will be that consistant 3pt threat UNC needs. Lawson is as fast if not faster than Felton was at that point, he also seems to be under better control than Felton was then and is a lot better shooter than Felton was at that point. Wright wasn't much of a focus on offense, but defense and rebounding are going to be huge for UNC to have another option inside right away.

Duke - Henderson, looks like a complete player for dook, kid can do just about anything, going to be a star for dook, no doubt. Scheyer, well the kid looked lost in the game, didn't shoot well at all, not in the same class as the other ACC players in the game for sure.

GT - Young is going to be a very good player for them, he can do a lot of things and is what that team needs.

Side note for non ACC players of note - Durant had a good game although not as good as some others, 6'10" and doesn't like to play inside much at all.
Harris was a kid I didn't know much about, but can do a lot of things in the game. Hawes looked good although didn't get a ton of minutes.

World team - Sene, a 7 footer who has only been playing organized ball for a little less than two years is going to be a beast if he makes the right decisions.

 

When did this came come on? Are they going to show it again...if so what network?

 

It was on ESPN yesterday. Not sure when it will be on again though, but I am sure it will be.

 

Roundball Classic will be on CSTV later this week. I never had CSTV in Charlotte but down here we get top high school games all over the country. I think Stephenson is the only Tarheel in that game, but OSU has 4 guys in it.

 

Stepheson was Co MVP of the game.

and Stepheson is supposed to be one of the "other" recruits signed by UNC

Yep, this is the kid I have a bet with sly about on whether he has a better college career than Shav or not. Played against Oden in this game, so not bad numbers imo.

Of course Oden had 21pts, 11rbs and 2 blks in 26 minutes.
