    Yep. Let's take peppers. He got, what, $13 million in bonus? It wasn't all paid this year, but let's say it was.

    He gets $1.0 million as a base salary. Therefore his payroll for this year is $14 million but his salary cap figure would be the $1 mil plus that one seventh of that $13 million, roughly 1.85 mil but someone might want to calculate that if they give a shit.

    That's why the Redskins had a "$100 million payroll" that one year and was still not over the cap.
