Wyche and Lombardi were quite critical of the Delhomme contract, but then again, so was my 3-year old son. Guess they rode the coattails of Yaz's misleading reporting.

I tell ya, Yaz is about as shitty as they come.

it's true, Yas' recent QB reporting is the stuff I have to hear at work. Mind numbing idiocy from a couple of people who couldn't pick a football out of a lineup and some AAs still pissed we didn't sign Vick last year.

It wasnt too bad, they were saying it was strange timing since we are gonna have to sign a FA backup anyway

Panthers did get some air time... basically the overall concensus was we are dumping salaries since there's no cap hit and positioning for 2011, not 2010

Yeah, negative air time! They actually made a good point in saying Delhomme was a salary dump for next year. Arizona is the team thats taking a beating!

I get the bashing of Delhommes contract but it was kind of a "had to do" thing wasn't it? Didn't we need to free up money to sign draft picks and other stuff? Didn't we clear up around 5 mil? Who knew he would continue to slide down the shit slide as hard and fast as he did.

You could say that, we needed cap room after Peppers, Gross, and Gamble got theirs, but you could also say we should've structured to contract better to avoid this sort of thing even if you exclude the playoff turnover fest that was a lot of money to invest in someone's jake's age when he really has never been elite.
