July is the first month of football, and the beginning of the end of baseball. It's a good time to be alive.

I wish my cable company would die.

    that was a wild game...Seahawks/Cowboys play-off game

people remember Romo botching the snap at the end, but it had a little bit of everything, kick-off returns for td's, interceptions, fumbles, going for it on 4th downs, replay challenges...awesome

    now a KC/Indy is on

It's somewhat naive to think that your cable company even cares about people calling in. I've called about NFL Network, outages, incorrect billing, and all sorts of other things but they never care. If god damned Congress would get off their ass and break up the local monopolies, forcing cable companies to compete with each other in every area, that would solve the problem. As it stands now my only option besides this shitty service is satellite, and I'm allergic to long-term contracts.

All I can say is I switched to DirectTV last year just before the first game on NFL Network. I've been impressed with the DirectTV picture quality AND the customer service. It's cheaper too. The one year commitment will be up in November and I'll see what type of deals are out there then. One thing's for sure- without NFL Network in the package I won't even look at Time Warner. Whenever I need a fix during the non-NFL part of the year NFL Network fixes me right up.

by years end, directv will offer over 100 channels in HD

I called and ordered an HD receiver on a wednesday, which included a free dish upgrade, and they came out that saturday...and their customer service is by far the most helpful & knowledgable i've dealt with...committment won't be a problem

I wonder what a defense would do if we lined up Johnson & Peppers as wide-outs
