    NFL fines Wallace $5,000

    The NFL fined Panthers defensive end Al Wallace $5,000 for his helmet-to-helmet hit Saturday against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe, an NFL spokesman said Friday.

    The Panthers were penalized 15 yards for roughing the passer on the first-quarter play.
