Saints - Brooks. Can't get rookies signed. Lost half their front four. Lost Williams.

Bucs - The Meshawn - Sapp problem continues. I'd just call it a Meshawn probelm, as he's been that way everywhere.

Falcons - The Duckett holdout, new ownership. They still have our number. I don't think that there's a team JR wants to beat more. Did Seifert EVER beat them?

Things are looking good for the Panthers, relatively.

If we can make it through the first 6 games at .500 *tough*, we could stand a chance of riding that optimism to some wins in our super weak division.

Hey - It's July. Fuck off with that realist shit.

Of course, Johnson and McCardell should have no problem toasting our crap-ass secondary.

Yea, Tampa is definately the team to beat especially considering they should have the best defense and Gruden should make a difference in terms of focus. Their offense won't blow anyone away however, and every team in this division can beat them in a close/low scoring game. This division is wide open IMO and anything is possible. Maybe the Cats can shock the world. :D

The Panthers need to win that opener with the Ravens. If they can pull that one out, the schedule looks favorable for a nice turnaround season. Dare I say 9 wins, or maybe even 10!

    BEST CASE: 10-6

We have a tough schedule for being 1-15, particularly the away games against Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

I don't think i'll EVER forget Freddie lane's fumble in the snow in the end zone. It's too bad that's what i remember the most.

That, and the fact that Deidra is hot, and she murdered him in cold blood.

    She is hot, though.

While I AM a Panthers fan, I see it like this...

Sunday, September 8 Baltimore 1:00 PM ET WIN
Sunday, September 15 Detroit 1:00 PM ET WIN
Sunday, September 22 @ Minnesota 1:00 PM ET WIN
Sunday, September 29 @ Green Bay 1:00 PM ET LOSS

Sunday, October 20 @ Atlanta 1:00 PM ET LOSS
Sunday, October 27 Tampa Bay 1:00 PM ET LOSS
Sunday, November 10 New Orleans 1:00 PM ET LOSS
Sunday, November 17 @ Tampa Bay 4:00 PM ET LOSS
Sunday, November 24 Atlanta 1:00 PM ET WIN
Sunday, December 1 @ Cleveland 1:00 PM ET LOSS
Sunday, December 8 Cincinnati 1:00 PM ET WIN

Sunday, December 22 Chicago 1:00 PM ET LOSS
Sunday, December 29 @ New Orleans 1:00 PM ET LOSS

That puts us at 7-9... We could also lose to Minnesota, Dallas, and get swept by Atlanta. That puts us at 4-12.

I did say BEST CASE. We are much closer to going 6-10 than 10-6! Your right. Anything is possible though.

I think NO and ATL will be easier wins than Dallas or Arizona.

    Just my opinion.

I think this is a pipe dream.

Who the hell knows. I don't think we'll be last in the division, though.

  8. Meat, I know the game against the Steelers ended in the snow - but wasn't the field still clean when he coughed-up the ball?

Yeah, I think it was fairly early in the game. It was snowing, but the field was ok.

Wasn't that the game Jeffers caught something like an 88 yard TD pass right before the half? I seem to remember the FOX boys (Howie, I think) praising the resiliency of those Panthers...o, the good ole days.
