I think the key to this discussion is: Who is this Panther, why was he talking about this, and what did he say? Do tell, PF.

    Ah. Fixed.

And while I understand Collin's angle, I do agree with this:

For the record, I wouldn't mind having some QB guru, I just get irritated when it's brought up as an excuse for Jake's problems or to unfairly bash Mike McCoy. I don't think bringing in a new guy would make any meaningful difference, but it wouldn't hurt, so it's not like I oppose it.

    I'd like a seasoned veteran back-up QB.

Minority, not majority. Yes, most QBs coaches do help with gameplanning. So do most WRs, RBs coaches, line coaches, etc. That doesn't make them lesser coaches. Some are, like McCoy.

I don't get the resistance to the ideal that a quarterback can be coached. Personally, I find it more critical than anything else that can be taught.

That is a pretty sweet list of coaches, but those are some relatively inexperianced or young QB's. Seattles Matt Hasslebeck being the most veteran in terms of a starter from day 1 this year and he is still not far removed from being a maverick at the position.

Granted Washington has a vet with Brunnell, but they also have Ramsey who is a young mystery and then there is their first round pick this last draft...whats his name.

Otherwise it's a young group of QB's. Not saying that we need one or don't, it was just an observation.

Tiger Wood uses a Swing coach. I think a qb coach that has the respect of Jake and Henning could be effective.
