If we can get our confidence back with a win over FSU saturday and a win at Clemson, and then maybe get May back for the final stretch we may be dangerous.

C'mon Heels fans - seriously, you have any more "maybes" than NC State had in 1983?

May has some big ass feet - maybe he's Cinderella. Don't write your boys off so fast. Doh put together a streak a couple of years ago. Lightning might strike again. And if it does, I hope it hits Dukie - and he learns to type...

Not to mention that Doh has been here 2 fukn years. UNC is in fine shape considering they won 8 games last yr.

We gonna be fine. The big dance would be a great accomplishment but with our schedule and May being out - no one could expect us to be even this close.

I said before the season that we lose Sean May we are fucked. Period. He is the ONLY BIG MAN we have that can play. Its a tribute to Doh and these players that they have even stuck around this year. Don't forget that Carolina has no players in the Junior OR Senior class that play siginificant minutes.

Also - the Heels have only 1 bad loss. 1! Iona. This schedule has been fuck'n brutal and we could have beaten Wake, Duke, Miami, Virginia and State.

The Heels are fine, they just had some bad breaks (no pun intended) this season and the chips fell a bit wrong.

And next year you are still in a postition where a loss to McCants, Felton, or MAy will kill you again. Big men are running from UNC in "groves" (was it Fever or Shocker who coined that?). Terry sure doesn't push y'all over any humps. Aside from this years class, Doherty's recruiting has turned out to be pretty average.

But we only lose OPie and the porn man. Everyone else is coming back. Add on anyone Doh recruits for next year, more experience for our current players, more experience by the Doh man, and you got a team to contend with. You can't argue that. If we don't get in the top 10 next year then I will blame Doh.

Your starting 5 will be somewhat above average but you will still lack in depth. Reyshawn Terry is a pretty average recruit. Jawad Williams is OK but Manuel and Scott? Please. You will be ripe for another injury killed season. Don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing an injury on anyone but lack of depth will kill you again next season. You act like yours will be the only team with another year under their belt. Fact is every team in the ACC is young this year but most of the other teams have better recruiting classes. I just don't see how y'all can count on making up any ground. All Duke loses is Jones and Sanders. I feel confident Deng and Humphries will more than fill those shoes.

I sense fear in your eyes, sly. We are the youngest team in the NCAA. We will definitely benefit more than anyone with a year of experience. We have three stars on this team and about 4 role players. If Doh can add a solid big man to next year watch out. I think Grant can be ok if he gets healthy and can add size and rebounding for the Heels. Another big man to take Sanders minutes is all we lack. Manuel is flashy at times and a great defender. Scott is horribly average but we only need him to spell Felton from time to time. But yes, I agree we cannot have an injury to May or McCants next year or any year.

Don't know about that Sly, Jones has done a pretty good job this year for you guys. I would think if you didn't have him you would have a lot more loses. Your 2 recruits may be as good as Redick, but if they end up being like the rest of your recruits to this point this year I don't see how either or both could fill Jones shoes.

I just don't like to count on a recruit until I see them on the court in college. Shav was suppose to be the greatest thing to hit dook in years, but other than 3 or 4 games he hasn't done much.

There are way too many if's to know at this point what either team will do next year. I mean until the last few games nobody even knew who Noel was. Let's say Grant gets healthy and start's doing what Noel has done thus far.

Sure your frosh and ours will be better next year, if both classes progress like they have this year, I would think the edge goes to UNC for the frosh. Even Bilas said on ESPN that he thought May was a lot better than Shav at this point even with the injury.
