fun. i'm working with the idea of putting a bunch of splash damage at the beginning then putting all my direct damage at the end. also, spreading out the splash damage so that they aren't clumping going for the same ones (basically, not overlapping very much if at all).

it works great -- all the creeps come out of the gauntlet equally damaged (roughly) and easy pickens for the guns. the biggest problem is that the splash damage is horrible against bosses and the semi-bosses since it tends to miss them completely. i gotta remember to throw up mines more often, if for no other reason than to slow down the bosses.

got 40k on the meander one -- lost 2 lives (one was a boss) and had an extra laser at the end. probably didn't manage my finances correctly, either, since i hadn't totally grapsed how it worked.

i knew i said i was giving up for the night...

45,444 on this double-stacked tunnel of doom.

upgraded the gun research tower to level two, so i maxed out all guns. upgraded the missile tower to level 4 or 5 so i could max out all grenade/missile towers.

    that's it.

are yo just buying a laser as soon as possible? do you sell off your assets to buy them? how many times did you upgrade your financial center?

I don't sell anything (unless there is a straggler that sneaks past and needs just a tiny bit of pummeling so I build a temporary tower and sell it when done).
This one starts you with 600 or something cash, so I did the finance center immediately and upgraded once about midway through. With $5-15k in the bank, the extra 3% paid off pretty well.
I do get to laser quickly, upgrading required tech only until I'm overflowing with cash and have a boss or something that makes me nervous just holding on with minimal guns (maybe level 35 or so). I quickly drop the electric tech, upgrade, upgrade, and drop a laser. Then a second laser when needed, then a 3rd, then upgrade all 3 techs at once (getting more damage for everything on the map even without upgrading the lasers), then upgrade all 3 of the lasers eventually, then hope I can make it out without another laser but eventually had to drop in laser 4 (but didn't upgrade it).

Oh, and I'm SURE the secret to success is getting mines. They're fairly cheap, and those last few levels are just crying out for some big booms to slow down the constant onslaught...I'd bet $500 in mines would prevent me from having to drop in that last $1500 laser... someone try it :).

i should have upgraded my existing 3 laser instead of dropping in new ones.
