Felton BPA, May BPA. Okafor and Brezec missed a combined 20 games last year. That's around 25% of the season playing with one of Brezec/Okafor and Melvin Ely starting with who coming off the bench????????????? who was it fellas????????? Come on now some of you guys that think we didn't need depth in the frontcourt??????????? May was the BPA and filled a definite need... If you don't see that, then you don't know basketball... It's easier to find a 2 or 3 then it is a 4 or 5 aswell and I'm sure that factored into the decision... Obviously Granger and Green weren't that highly thought of since they were drafted later than McCants was... Would all of you guys been bitching if we had drafted McCants since he filled a "Need"? I would rather have May because he was/is a better player.

May is better than McCants who(NBA scouts and Gm's) thought was better than Green, Granger, Hodge, and all the other guys some of you were crying about us skipping.

I also just heard that Danny Granger had a knee injury as well that dropped his draft stock.

We got May at a steal at 13.

I don't think anyone has said they don't think he will be good. Only time will tell though and it's pre-mature to say anyone is a steal until the first practice.

I can't see the future but I have a really good feeling about this pick. Hell, I hate the tarholes. But, it doesn't change the fact that this pick has really set our front court up for the next 4 years depending upon if we renew may for a 5th. Okafur is already locked in for 4, as is brezec. Thats a great front court, young, nucleus to work with. Also, like I mentioned earlier in the thread, I really think we can turn into a Utah-east as far as the pick and roll goes. Brezec/May and Felton can run the high and low, while okafur can come weakside. Its really fundamental but most teams dont have this ability. It really has me excited.

But they have said it was a dumb pick. So it's a dumb pick, but he'll be good? Weird.

Their dime, but I'd rather have a player that should start, than a player who inevitably never will. I mean, it's okay to be a fanboy, they need that type thing, but good lord.

No. The paralellisms don't work. For one, we didn't fucking want Barron. Two, a weakness on a team with talent isn't the same as a weakness on a team without talent. When you have two holes, you don't bypass those holes to backup your one good guy.

If you were saying "we should've drafted Brown", sure. There's a logical need for that, as was there a need for an impact defender. In this case, it would've been akin to taking Spears to back up Peppers.
