May will NOT start over Brezec. Brez is 7-2. hes starting.

Bernie would have taken Williams or Paul over Felton. He got the best pg left.
Would have taken Villanueva but he was gone. Frye was gone. the Portland trade changed the draft. May was a solid pick.
Green MAY be good one day,but May has proven something at least. Green would have been drafting potential. that is whats wrong with the NBA. potential over a proven player. for every T-mac there are a couple Kwame Browns. now it seems every GM doesnt want to be the guy who didnt draft_____ when they hindsight the draft in five years.

Um what if May, Hodge or Paul were the best person on the board. Seems odd to me that its a known Dook fan whining about it, but lets see May was brought in twice to workout for the team, which showed some interest at that point. As I've said he was the NCAA Tourny M.O.P. so he's got talent. Was he the biggest need? No, but maybe he was the best player available on the Bobcats draft board when they drafted.

Well for starters you don't know shit about the Bobcats, because gerald Wallace is a 6'7" Small Forward. Next I liked Granger, Green was HIGHLY overrated, but apparently no one else knew that. I'll actually bet sly knew that. I'll give him his credit there. He watches High School recruiting pretty close. So I'll give him his due there, but outside of him, everyone else just follows like sheep when it comes to his talent evaluations. But as I've said May was rated higher by Bobcats scouts.

You don't know for sure that May doesn't have that same potential or better. That's a biased opinion based on your dislike for him. Hell don't you remember how bad he beat the shit out of your dookies?? One would think you'd want that talent on the floor.

Hell everyone drafted is as much a potential all star as Green

And Brezec was able to stop Garnett, Duncan, Ming, and O'neal???

You're just as bad as the UNC fans that said before the draft that they wouldn't attend if no UNC players were taken. Quit fuckin' pouting this team isn't UNC anymore, its an NBA team. Yet you and a few other hold old school petty jealous so deep that you can't see that.

If you're team is only 1 year old you take the best player available. You don't fill need positions. You fill need positions the entire time you end up with the Clippers.

So, instead, you totally neglect two positions so you can back up your one good player with a lesser version of said player?

If May was Ranked as a top 5 top 10 prospect and they were shocked he was on the board and the other guys were ranked MUCH lower in their books then yes. You saying we shoulda taken Alex Barron this year in the NFL draft if he was available because of a need at LT?

Some of the logic used in this thread dictates that the Bobcats were supposed to have taken Deng in 2004 instead of Okafor. I'd like to know how the Bobcats all of a sudden changed their drafting policy to 'take the best ACC player available'.

Maybe the fact that they couldn't draw flies to a dump last season.
