I just saw them up here in NY playing with Dream Theater. It was an awesome show. Queensryche played 2 new songs. Both sounded pretty damned good. Geoff Tate still sound amazing. Can't wait to hear the CD.

Tate supposedly has a larger vocal range than Mariah Carey who has one of the industries largest. Either way they put on one hell of a show.

    More like 10 :D

I think Empire came out sometime around 93.

I can see them improving with age if they continue on a Silent Lucidity track. Don't get me wrong. Their heavy shit kicked ass but for some reason I don't think I want to see a bunch of guys in their upper 30's continuing to play that stuff.

Don't get me wrong, Queensryche is not what they used to be, and they're definitely missing Chris Degarmos guitar. But they still sound good. They held up well.
Dream Theater, on the other hand was awesome. Thay are probably the most talented band I've ever seen. Each member of the band is way too talented for their own good. They will never be a mainstream act, but any musician will appreciate what they have to offer. If you're not familiar with them, give them a shot. They have about 8 CDs. Personally, I like Images & words, Awake and Falling Into Infinity best.

According to the website Chris Degarmo is back with the band. He is listed as guitar on the new album.

I believe Best Buy will have it this week for $9.99.

Chris Degarmo is back in the band, but he's not touring with them. He's doing the Brian Wilson thing.
