    If you bought/pirated it and liked it you're not the average listener I hear.

    It's definately different, but I like it. It's very D'Angelo, almost as if Prince wanted to take that style to a different level.

    Hadn't heard it yet. Awhile back I remember an interview with his saying he wasn't going cuss or sing the type of songs he used to...... he thought it was detrimental to kids that listened to his music.

    I'll have to check it out.

    I will always prefer early Prince (1980s), as opposed to the new stuff he's putting out. It's probably good, but I still like his old stuff better.

    sportsgirl, i agree. 80's prince is best, IMO.

    Prince was at his most mainstream then. He's been playing around ever since, but the Rainbow Children material is all good and has a few songs that sound like Parliament, all the way to a few that have a Philly groove in it.
