    I've defraged both the printer and the scanner with the only result being some creamy fluid oozing from my floppy drive. I am running a check for Diabeetus now.

    My problem turned out to be that my printer and scanner would not work with this computer, connection issues. I just bought me a new Epson CX5000 printer/scanner. It's up and running like a dream.

    My laptop is a 2.4ghz with 1gig ram. You're doing better than me there. My desktop is a 3.0 dual core with a gig of ram and a kick ass graphics card. It screams.

    Some things require that you install the software before you plug them in. Most printers seem to be that way.
