Why did ya'll ignore my Dead Letter Auction entry? Smatter, you got sumthin' 'ginst Dead Letter Auction?

I've never heard of yutaka . I don't trust jazzers that go by one name; sounds suspect; like some kind of Mexican drink, similar to tequila. :D

dead letter auction? no not ignored...

dead letter auction = angry music.

not heard of yutaka? sheez, try not to be so provincial! japanese, not mexican. yutaka is with the verve music group. grp label. i like this kind of jazz. artists on that label: dave gruisin, dave holland:), diana krall, mindi abair, the crusaders, joe sample, david sanborn, (lots of daves :mushy: ), lee ritneour, keiko matsui, grover washington, jr, bob james, george benson, (you impressed yet?)...i can go on and on. but enuf of that name dropping. you really should post a tune or two in this moment so i can check out. i mean, other than mingus and monk!
    ;)

Re: dead letter auction? no not ignored...

    Spike Jones :D

When it comes to money-making corporations name dropping may or maynot mean something. With due respect Verve might have taken on Yutaka because they can make money and support the company/other artists that don't make money; you know that musical integrity and making money rarely have anything to do with one another.

Didn't know dead letter auction was angry music. Do you mean angry in the sense of idealism or ignorance?
[Lawd! Don't attempt to answer that. :D ]
