    That's really interesting.

And it kinda fits in a way because it means that Judas loved Jesus enough that he was willing to throw away his life on this earth for a shot at a better one in Heaven.

Interesting article, Harry. Thanks for posting it. :)

I have three questions/problems with their premise. One...

How do they know it's a copy of a Greek version? Smells like an assumption to me.

    Two...

Exceed all of whom? The apostles? Not bloody likely. Jesus gave that job to Simon Peter, and Peter wasn't even Jesus' favorite.

    Three...

Stars leading the way? That doesn't sound like Jesus' teaching style or substance at all. Of course it's probably figurative, but I still get a red flag popping up on that one.

It sure sounds better than the status quo, doesn't it?

I think Judas was trying to instigate a rebellion by turning Jesus over to the authorities. I think he thought an earthly kingdom would result.

You guys have WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more knowledge of this than I do, but I approach it from a human relationship standpoint sometimes. If Jesus gave Judas the absolute toughest task - one that required him to be a villiain but never EVER tell anyone about it, that means that he trusted him the most. It also means that Judas pretty much came through. The pretty much part only comes from me not knoing whether Jesus ever told Judas he could say anything about their del (assuming it happened).

Just saw a TV commercial about this - looks like Discovery or A&E or some such is doing a "Gospel of Judas" special about this discovery in the next couple of weeks. Sorry, I was half awake when I saw the ad, so I cant remember.

It would be interesting to watch. I'd like to see their conclusions on the repurcussions IF their interpretation is correct.
