  1. K-State finally broke into the top 10 with Texas losing to Texas Tech yesterday and falling behind us to #11. We almost took over #9 from Michigan......3 points. Colorado at least guaranteed themselves a share of the big xii north with their win. If we win next weekend and they lose to Nebraska, we share the title, although Colorado would go to the championship game since they beat us. Oh well, I just want a good bowl game. Let Colorado lose to OU in the championship game and that puts us to an advantage of going to the Cotton, maybe even possibly the Holiday.

First we have to get past a surging TTech team and Okie State...but I'm glad that if we do, K-State will not be waiting for us. They are on a roll and running QB's have given OU fits (except for Seneca Wallace). The list is a long one...Bishop, Roberson (sp?), Smith at Mizzou...

In my personal poll, I've got the Cats 8th (7th if you don't count Alabama)..the Buffs are more one-dimensional so it would be an easier (not easy, but easier) task to win...

    My Top 25...
    1) Miami 2) Oklahoma 3) Iowa 4) Ohio St. (unbeaten, but not impressive) 5) Washington St. 6) Georgia 7) Alabama 8) Kansas St. 9) USC 10) Notre Dame

    11) Texass 12) Michigan 13) Florida 14) Virginia Tech 15) Colorado St. 16) Colorado 17) Maryland 18) Florida St. 19) Penn St. 20) Pittsburgh

    21) Boise St. (gotta have some fun!) 22) LSU 23) Texas Tech 24) TCU 25) South Florida

What I like about the situation is that the Hawkeyes are the only team in the BCS funnel that can't fall any further. They are all but given, at worst, the Rose Bowl. OSU loses, they are out of the BCS...and lose they will. A team can't be that lucky against Michigan. They should have lost at least three games (Ill, Penn State, Cinncy)
Outside of that, Miami could easily lose two of their next three. Watch out for Syracuse, they have been pesky all year despite a lack luster record. Then they have two ranked opponents in Pitt and Va Tech. Everyone else has two games left.
The Hawks could be the cream that rises to the top.

  4. Yes it's Roberson....most of us Wildcaters call him Ell. He had 228 rushing yards himself last week versus Nebraska. Ell and Sproles both had over 150 yards each rushing - Sproles having 7 games with 100 plus rushing yards. He's only like 35 yards from breaking the single season rushing (or maybe total) yards record set by Josh Scobey last year.

Glad you have us ranked so high. Unfortunately for us, several "other" polls don't rank us so highly. We're still #11 in the BCS. It would take a miracle for them to get any higher this season. I'll take #11 since we weren't even ranked in any polls before the season started.

I sure hope that OU takes care of Colorado in the championship game. Gives us a better chance at a better bowl.

If you look at the notes for the BCS standings, it says Bama would have ended up ranked 9th. That's pretty good.

I don't think I'd look out for any team that lost to Carolina.
