will probably suck but DM's production always seems to do well.

He's the musical version of Tom Cruise.

    Beck hatred? Wow.

I know he's a pro-tools creation, but I still really like some of his songs. Jack-Ass & Lost Cause are especially good. I don't like his meaningless stream of conscious lyrics though.

I thought Guero was solid. The last one was kinda rough, though. I just have to wonder what he has left lyrically, but the music will be solid.

I liked the last Beck album, there were a couple of real classics. I'll definitely 'buy' this one when it drops.

Sea Change is still a classic and I thought Guero was above average. "Hell Yes" is a great song. I like danger Mouse prods, so I'll probably buy it, unless it gets totally trashed buy the critics.

i've seen him a lot of times and at every concert it's been half full of the snobs who were going for the opening act and were insulted at having to be at a beck show

he's definitely had serious missteps along the way .. but the new single sounds solid . like after all this experimentation maybe he's found his groove again.. or a groove we didn't know he had

I really liked his single. It's good to see that he's still making some noise in the music scene.
