It was just some of the stupid back and forth bickering that metro gets into with some of the ACC fans. While usually entertaining, completely not necessary in this discussion.

The topic at hand – I hope this drive goes well. Charlotte can be very competitive in baseball with first rate stadium. Hopefully we will produce some more players in the majors who give back to the university.

Is it going to be in the same spot as the current one? I can't tell from the picture. Are the bricks going to be built into the stadium or on the front sidewalk?

Me too. They should have a NC tourney - hell even include SC teams and rotate it around. That would prolly be a pretty good draw and cut down on travel costs. The teams already play each other anyway.

    Alumni Center

The new Alumni Center is also going up and they are asking for $500 per brick.

I have a brick at Halton but can't remember the price. Anyone else know?

the brick will be on a stadium wall facing the common and concession area and/or entrance to the stadium. The new stadium will be entered from behind home plate where the new parking lot/rec fields are now. The field will stay in the exact same place, they just spent about 200k installing a complete new surface w/ drainage system and irrigation.

    Re: Alumni Center

    Halton bricks were $50 or $100, I don't remember.

The tiles in the Alumni Center are from $500 to $2500, payable over 5 years.

The center received a million dollar pledge last week for the naming rights too with a little help from 49erAlumnus. :D

our program can also be paid over time. All we are doing now is asking for "pledges" and then if enough is raised, we come to you for the payment in the form you like (credit card, check, cash).

Well, I paid for a toilet in Halton Arena, the least I can do is purchase a brick for the Diamond Niners.

seriously Metro, can you help us out visualizing the field? the field currently has the road running straight down the left side (or right side looking from home plate). the picture you show makes things look completely different. maybe they're moving the road?

i can't afford the brick though. maybe when they upgrade again, i'll have some more $$.
