Give me time to look it up and I can come up with a list of those JUST THIS YEAR where I have been sweating buckets worrying about a back door cover. Even just laying that 10-15 I'm talking about now has caused headaches in some games. Two come to mind: Memphis vs. ECU (loser) and Iowa vs. Illinois (winner). But the final didn't really reflect what happened in those games.

The solution, of course, is to play underdogs. But I flat out blow at picking underdogs for the most part. Always have.

Edit: Also Toledo laying 26 to Buffalo. Got lucky as hell there. But I was sweating it.

Normally, I don't like laying a big number either, but here is OK's score from this year

    North Texas 37-3
    Alabama 20-13
    Fresno State 52-28
    UCLA 59-24
    Iowa State 53-7
    Texas 65-13
    Missouri 34-13
    Colorado 34-20
    Oklahoma State 52-9
    Texas A&M 77-0
    Baylor 41-3

If the number is 19, they are 8-2 against the spread. And there are a lot better teams than Texas Tech on that list.

A late punt return made last night a lot more interesting than it should have been.

Today, I plan on violating pretty much everything Piper and I discussed yesterday. :D

    N'western (-4)
    N. Illinois (-26)
    Memphis (-10)
    Kansas (-10)
    Kansas St. (-15)
    Oklahoma (-19)
    Oklahoma St. (-27)
    Tulsa (-7)

All favorites. Most are either laying big numbers and/or are laying points on the road - usually another no-no for me. The opponent list reads like a who's who list of "WE SUCK" in college football though. So we'll see I guess. This is the last good weekend for college until the bowls start up.

Looks like a pretty nice day Bunky. Although a late score screw both you and Piper with UK. That blows.

Paid for taking all those big favorites. Y'know, I liked a truck load of games today and I think if I had just put all of them in a hat and then pulled them out I could've done better. Couldn't be any worse.

Thank you Oklahoma. For letting me bet like a crack addict and not get hurt for it. I should've bet a house on you today.

BTW......Bitter about Memphis. The second Cinci TD came on a blocked FG return. If Memphis makes that FG instead of giving up a TD, that one comes in.

Oh - almost forgot - fuck you Tulsa. You come back from 26-14 to go up 34-26 with 7 minutes left and THEN give up a late TD? Yeah, fuck you.

Well, notice I wasn't about to bet against Oklahoma.

Still think, through the course of the season, in real coferences, my theoy holds true. I've won enough dogs to know.

Yep. That late pick and garbage TD sucked. It was actually a much closer game for most of it. Fat boy just couldn't put throws together, Pollack was all over him.

No. I think you're right. I mean, look at me today. If it weren't for the fact that I have all the self-control of a crack addict I'd be up a lot more than I already am this season. You really have to pick and choose those spots where you lay that big number.
