    Hello all,
I just bought another laptop, this one is a Centrino model with wireless capabilities. I'm just looking for opinions on the best wireless routers. I've been looking at the Netgear and the Belkins. Any and all opinions welcome.

    Thanks,
    gng

What are you doing with the old laptop? Want to sell it?

Linksys or DLink are pretty good I hear. Try Yahoo shopping or buy.com or egghead.com

You should be able to get a card and router for about $150 or less

Netgear, LinkSys, yes. DLink? I use a DLink router but it's not wireless. Not familiar with those. The DLink I have was $20 less than Netgear or LinkSys.

Sorry y2b, already sold my old one (Dell 4100, bought it last year) to a co-worker, made him a swinging deal earlier this week. I just purchased a Dell 600m(1.4g, 512ddr,SXGA+,40gb HD), it will be here tomorrow morning, and I thought I better seek some advice on this wireless stuff.

    Thanks for the input guys,
    gng

D-Link. Hook it up and go. It grabs IP info from my cable modem faster than Linksys ever did. I did research on Microsoft, NetGear, Linksys and D-Link. Bought D-Link for more bang for the buck.
