My 20 year old Onkyo receiver looks like it's finally had it, and the last thing I feel like spending significant money on is a new stereo. Anybody have one to sell me cheap?

I have a Kenwood about 5 years old (one of the good ones before they started making all the crap) Dolby digital etc. It got fried and can be fixed easily, I know what needs to be done. If you're good with a soldering iron you can have it. I paid over $900 for it.

You need something contained? I got a decent $49 surround sound system from WalMart that I plugged my DVD player into. It plays cds so I only have the subwoofer, 5 speakers and a DVD so as to not clutter things up too much. For the money, it sounds pretty good. If I owned a house instead of a condo, I'd probably want a little more power.
